"OMG, In what god do we trust?"

From the begining of time we have often heard the phrase, "In god we trust." The question still remains what god are they referring to? From public leaders to American currency we have heard the phrase again and again. Keep in mind that anything or anyone can become someone's god. History has depicted that mankind has worshiped various animals, and other creation as their gods. I often watch award cerimonies that refer to god or witness various social media that commonly uses OMG. The Bible (also known as the word), states:

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain (Exodus 20:3-7 KJV)."

It has always puzzled me how many of us as creations have turned to worshiping other creations. In my understanding we are all creations, therefore we all have a creator. If we have a creator then we must have been created. Being that we are created, we must have been created with a purpose to serve our creator. It is very easy as a creation to fall subservient to a higher power. Unfortunately, many of us have created our own gods to serve and have abandon our creator's plan. One of the oldest recordings of creation is depicted in the Bible, which states:

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1 KJV). For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it (Exodus 20:11 KJV)."

What ever happened to MENTAL INTIMACY?

"The funniest thought just came to mind. I realized that the majority of those I converse with can all recollect their last physical encounter; yet they fall into a state of amnesia when I asked them to recall their last stimulating conversation with the opposite sex. What ever happened to MENTAL INTIMACY? Like chivalry, it's a thing of the past, but why? Is their no place in our present society for those with a independent thought? I too yearn for the warm embrace of a thought provoking, yet mentally soothing interaction of the mind. To connect with one who is in tune with a arousal of conscious curiosity...sigh. I just became light headed at the notion. How I would love to interact with the Maya Angelou of our time."-DREWLHINDS.COM

EXAMINE YOURSELF

"The word says that every man should examine himself. We are definitely in the last days if time, yet we conform to presumptuous sin. Saying God understands...well God will not be mocked, so don't mistake His kindness, mercy and grace for weakness. I hope and pray that the children of god who know better, start doing better, praying fervently, living consciously, loving our enemies, stand ready to preach the word in season and out, turn from our evil ways and conform to God way. We can and must have a reformation of character, if we hope to be saved."-DREWLHINDS.COM
